Admission & Dismissal Procedures

Main Building: Morning Admit

7th and 8th Grade Students are to line up with their class in the Schoolyard by 7:30.
5th and 6th Grade Students are to sit with their class in the Auditorium by 7:30.
2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade Students are to sit with their class in the Cafeteria by 7:30.

Main Building: Dismissal

7th and 8th Grade Teachers will escort their class in a line out of the building at 2:09
5th and 6th Grade Teachers will escort their class in a line out of the building at 2:05.
Room 219, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade Teachers will escort their class to the Auditorium 1:45 where they will be dismissed at 2:09.

*During Inclement Weather students are to report to their indoor admit locations by 7:30:

5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Grades report to the Auditorium.
2nd, 3rd & 4th Grades report to the Cafeteria.

 

Uniform Policy

The School District of Philadelphia has adopted a student dress code. At Franklin, it is expected that all students participate for the entire school year.

Navy Blue Khaki Slacks (All Grades)
Girls may wear Navy Blue Khaki Skirts
Light Blue Oxford Shirt or Light Blue Golf Shirt (Kindergarten – Grade 6)
Red Oxford Shirt or Red Golf Shirt (Grades 7 & 8)
Students should wear comfortable shoes, such as a loafer or sneakers—NO flip-flops or backless shoes.

Hats, head coverings and outerwear are not part of the dress code. If head coverings are to be worn for religious purposes, parents must notify the school in writing.

Not Permitted:Bare shoulders, sleeveless T-shirts, tank tops, halter or midriff tops, short-shorts and mini skirts are prohibited. Clothing with offensive language, pictures, or symbols are prohibited.

Students will not be permitted to wear oversized clothing. Uniform pants and shirts must fit appropriately. If the shirt is too long, it must be tucked in. If the pants are too big, you must wear a belt. Jeans are not permitted to be worn under the uniform pants.
